with appreciation, wisdom and vitality!"

Listen as educator, author and spiritual mentor, Jan Lundy, introduces the
"Self-Compassionate Aging" Sadhana and what it can do for you.

What is a Sadhana?

A Sadhana is a period of intentional spiritual practice. The term means, "exertion towards a spiritual goal." It's designed to uplift you spiritually and also to uplift humanity.

Aging is something many of us struggle with in our Western, youth-based culture. We have bought into myths and despairing mindsets about what it means to age, thereby causing ourselves stress and impairing what can be a rich, meaningful time of life.

In this 5-week Sadhana/program, we will explore our feelings about how we are aging. We will compassionately explore our attitudes about aging—both personal and societal— unpack our struggles so we can begin to accept the wonderful invitations that aging brings:
freedom, contentment, courage, openness, delight, and wisdom.

Foundational to this program will be the practice of self-compassion (in its many forms). As we age, there is much the body/mind/spirit goes through that can be handled more kindly, gracefully, with mindfulness, loving-kindness and humor!

"Embracing Our Aging as a Spiritual Practice"

Our Sadhana will focus on
adapting to and appreciating these
Soul Invitations of Aging:

• Body changes (health, beauty, vitality)
• Mental changes (attitudes, interests, memory)
• Emotional changes (softening and strengthening)
• Relationship changes (love and loss)

• Spiritual changes (deeper meaning, higher purpose, lasting legacy)
• Navigating the 4 stages of aging
• Facing the 4 major fears around aging

... and learning to apply self-compassionate principles and practices to all that we are experiencing when it comes to our unique aging journey.

Ultimately, we will move towards kind self-acceptance and regard to claim our ourselves as "Sages," acknowledging that insight and wisdom come from living long and experiencing much, and that we can share this wisdom with the world for the greater good.

Bonus!
During our 5 weeks together, you will also receive guidance and inspiration for
aging and "saging" from these gifted teachers:

Sue Patton Thoele

Best-selling author of Freedoms After Fifty and The Mindful Woman, Sue shares her trademark humor and helps you take aging more lightly!

Carol Egan

A health educator, Carol will show you how to build energy and vitality in your aging years with healthy food choices & an "I can do this!" attitude.

Ram Dass

Jan offers a transcript of a recent conversation she had with the beloved yogic teacher, Ram Dass, about how to "love your thoughts"—all of them!

How Does the "Self-Compassionate Aging" Sadhana Work?

3 times a week for 5 weeks you will receive the following in your Inbox:

• A Daily Lesson/Teaching for the day on one aspect of aging from a spiritual perspective. This will contain an audio, video or written element to guide you.

• An invitation to sit in silence for 5 minutes. Add the poem, prayer or meditation of the day to your practice. Reflect upon it (or journal about it) with the help of the Daily Teaching to bring insight and healing.

• The opportunity to connect and have conversation about your learnings in a private, sacred community (online).

Gain even MORE support for your Sadhana!

You will be invited to join our optional, private Sadhana community on Facebook: a gathering of dedicated practitioners who will inspire you and hold you in compassion as you practice each day.

Note: If you are a non-FB user, there will be a place for you to interact, leave comments, and ask questions on our secure website.

Transform your relationship with aging to make THIS
the most meaningful chapter of your life.

We'll begin our Sadhana on Wed., October 5, 2016.

Please join me for this revitalizing and inspiring practice period!

I am recommending that participants purchase a text for this Sadhana/program. This is not required but, I believe that using it along with your daily meditation/reflection practice will be life-changing for you. It is an extraordinary guide to aging wisely and kindly.

Testimonials from our previous Sadhana participants:

"The daily email is my invitation to go inward and a lovely reminder that I’m not alone in my choice for peace and connection. This practice grounds me in gentleness and joy. It affirms my desire for deeper joy and for divine space. The program was full of wisdom and light, and very well organized."
Maryse

"I enjoyed the Winter Sadhana's themes of peaceful contemplation, comfort, quiet and internal development. It made January much more pleasant and productive on a personal level, and I find myself more peaceful and having more self-compassion than when we started."
Laurel

"Your voice (Jan) as you recited today's prayer poem was like a soothing balm to the soul. I think that I could listen to it every morning for the beauty and rhythm and peacefulness that it brings to my soul."
Rose

"Since being connected to you (Jan) and programs like this, I feel reborn, because now I rejoice and respect my true nature! I was alright all along and didn't appreciate the gifts I had and am. I feel so blessed."
Janet

"I am amazed at how much content you have for us each day ... to even include music- such a GIFT! I was already a meditator, but who doesn't need more guidance when it comes to cultivating quiet time? What has stayed with me is the feeling to be gentle with myself."
Annie

"I just went into this expecting loving support for my practice and that is what I received! I think the Sadhana has reaffirmed to me the absolute necessity concerning my spiritual practice. It is like breathing to me, I must do it to be fully alive. It centers me and keeps me present and calm."
Joyce

"The daily content, attractive structure, and built-in encouragement to reflect on its impact made each day's suggestion a pensive pleasure to do.  I loved the enrichment of others' comments and of Jan's care in responding to all posts in our community."
Kit

"This practice has brought a form of peace to me by helping to break my morning TV addiction! I enjoy and need the quiet calm and reflection so much more now to begin my day."
Kay

"I am being transformed to live more peacefully within myself."
Suzie

Dear Friend,

I love the idea of Sadhana! My own personal Sadhana has changed my life in bountiful ways. I wish the same for you.

It's difficult to explain how empowering it can be to have a heart-centered, daily practice to rely on; to guide you, to stabilize you in the tough times, and to align you with the virtues to which you aspire. I hope you will join me for this very special Winter event that has the power to transform your inner life. I look forward to journeying with you, deeper into the truth of your being and sacred connection.

All Love to you,
Jan Lundy
