Life continues to offer such rich opportunities for me to live and serve in the ways I appreciate most. Despite loving each one of them (teaching, spiritual companionship, mentoring), they all require plenty of energy, at least for me to do them well.
This post will be my last one for the summer as I head into a period of retreat and renewal. Fall and "back-to-school" will be here before I know it, so a Northern Michigan summer really is my sweet spot for self-care on multiple levels.
I leave you with this bit of writing about the value of "unplugging." My hope is that you will find some sweet spots of your own this season (depending on where you live in the world) and give yourself healthy doses of spiritual care so you can continue to serve the world in bountiful ways too.
Give yourself the gift of "unplugging."
