"Sabbath Moments" are published on Saturday or Sunday of each week. Photos and quotes that remind us of what is most important in life,
how to live peacefully and love wholeheartedly.
"Where there is peace and meditation,
there is neither anxiety nor doubt."
~ St. Francis of Assisi (c. 1181 - 1226)
As we move toward Thanksgiving, I hope each of us will take this St. Francis' philosophy to heart.
A sense of holiday overwhelm often comes from being overly busy preparing food, making our home welcoming for guests, for everything to be just so. If that's the case for you, if there is much to do before guests arrive at your door, be sure to take time in the morning for some solitude, peaceful moments, quiet contemplation. Beginning our morning in this way sets the stage for peace to unfold instead of worry or anxiety.
We can trust the silence within us. It will always guide us "home" to an oasis of inner calm.
