Books & Writing
My interest in guiding and supporting others on their spiritual journeys has often been conveyed through writing. I wrote my first book, Coming Home to Myself, in 1998 and have written 8 more since then. In 2008, Sorin Books published Your Truest Self, a spiritual memoir. 5 more spiritual growth books followed. You can learn more about my writing career here.
Passions
Today, I find myself passionate about the changing face of spiritual direction/guidance; the growing tide of “Spiritual Independents” worldwide and how we can best serve this population of discerning seekers in the most ethical and compassionate ways possible. I delight in all things inter-contemplative including shared spiritual practice across traditions. I desire to go both wide and deep with the people I companion and share spiritual friendship with.
I believe I am here on the planet at this point in time to invite others to Presence (with a capital “P”). When we think of Presence this way, we enter into the realm of the Sacred (Ultimate Reality, God, Presence, the All, Spirit, Brahman, Essence, the Holy, the Divine). We are acknowledging that when two people come together in mutual regard for a higher purpose, a third, greater Presence can be experienced. I call this Presence the "One Heart." When this happens, growth occurs. Healing can happen. Relationships change. The world is transformed.
May it continue to be so. Amen.
